We tend to think we can just take something or make one change and it will fix the years, if not decades worth of damage we have done. Disease doesn't just start off serious, it slowly accumulates over time, altering the cell structure, altering the cell function to the point where a quick fix is not possible at all.

The only way to then deal with this problem is by taking the whole body, our entire lifestyle into account and making changes to all aspects of our daily lives.

How do negative ions come into play.

Our bodies are mainly affected by 5 things, the air we breathe, the food we eat, the sleep we get, the stress we suffer and the liquids we put into our body.

Air
Having clean air, free from pollution and positive ions is something that we all crave. Today's lifestyle, transport and technology bring about many factors that decrease air quality. Having a quality ionizer in your home will deal with the pollution and positive ions. Countless studies show this and we have done the tests ourselves. Air quality outside being 260, but inside our home where we have a few Twin Air Pro's running the air quality is 42. A pretty big difference if you ask me. That difference however is just to the air quality, it's a difference to the quality of air you breathe in, but it's not something that can feed your cells the right nutrients, help rebuild cell structures or improve cell function. It gives more energy yes, but having more workers but not enough building materials does nothing in the end, people will just be standing around.

Food
Food is a very difficult one to explain, because there is so much online that contradicts each other, so many simple things that people do wrong that this might be a big section. Having a balanced diet with no unprocessed foods, taking in the right quantity of each and getting the required minerals, vitamins and nutrients is hard. It might be easier to just talk about basic things that I see and hear people doing wrong, which might then help those who really want to get better.

Temperature is a very very important thing when it comes to food. I see soooo many vegetarians who are unhealthy, who have weak spleen function which in turn means very weak digestion. They have blood deficiency and their blood flow is not adequate. They have cold hands and look kinda pale, bowel movements tend to be less dry than one wishes. The reason for this is they consume mostly cold foods, they drink cold water (many iced drinks), they eat fruit or raw veggies, all cold, which in turn cool down the stomach, reduces the function of the stomach, slows down chemical processes, slows down blood flow and just overall reduces the ability of your body to properly get nutrients and energy from food.

The other spectrum is just a bad, no fruit but veggie pizzas, pastas, breads, things that give energy but contain no nutrients. Or alternatively, over baking veggies but smothering it in oil so it cooks evenly. Completely removes any benefits from eating the veggies by adding too much oil, even in a healthy oil like olive oil.

Sleep
Sleep is not just about quantity, it's about timing. Speaking to many patients who struggle a lot with chronic health issues related to liver dysfunction all say the same thing, they can't sleep. They have spent their youths going to bed late, meaning after 11pm and still do so to this day. If you do this long term, you end up damaging the quality of your blood and your bodies ability to replenish and maintain your blood levels. getting in bed before 11pm is vital to a healthy body. Getting 8 hours of sleep is just as important. As health starts to dwindle, you will find it much harder to fall asleep and then easily wake up, waking up completely around 5am, wrongly thinking that you have had enough sleep. Waking up completely around 4 or 5 am isn't your body saying you have had enough sleep, it's saying it doesn't have the function to maintain a good 8 hours sleep anymore. People who have this happen won't ever feel rested, they are constantly fatigued, drinking coffee or energy drinks throughout the day. Taking naps our of necessity just to get by. The funny thing is they tell themselves they do feel rested, don't feel tired, but this is just because they don't remember what it feels like to not feel this way. This is all they know now and it's their new normal, but it's not healthy. We all tell ourselves these white lies to make our situation seem better, but it's much better to accept that something is wrong, and learn how to fix it. Sleep is strongly affected by dysfunction of both the liver and heart which long term can lead to really serious life threatening issues. Your sleep situation not being good is your body warning you of issues that can be fixed.

Stress
Stress doesn't require much to be said, everyone knows it and knows the terrible effects it has on the body, mainly affecting the kidneys which then results in an overall deficient state in the whole body. Weak kidneys mean all the other organs cannot do their job properly and the effects are really mild in the beginning. Cold sweaty hands, going to the toilet more often, back pain, knee pain, for men it can mean sexual dysfunction and in both men and woman it will mean ageing badly, looking old before your time. The root cause is the kidneys and the most damaging factor to them is stress. Long term stress then physically alters the size, shape and function of the cells which cannot be fixed overnight. It requires long term effort but it's worth it. I know a few people in their 60 who do not have a single issue, no diseases, no pain, no troubles that the rest of the world will have us believe are common to ageing.

Positive stress such as exercise is crucial to being healthy. It raises the blood pressure, pumps blood throughout the body and brings about the bodies natural repair mechanisms. Getting some exercise on a daily basis, even if only for a few minutes at the start, will help you immensely. Studies have shown that those who regularly exercise cope significantly better under work or life based stress because the mechanism is similar as far as our bodies are concerned. Exercise helps your body to deal with stress better.

Liquids
Getting enough water is vital, however we need to consider the temperature. Drinking a cup of hot water (I know, sounds terrible) helps so much in terms of digestion that anyone who tries it will be really surprised. If you are in a habit of drinking ice cold water, ice cold fizzy drinks, drinking ice cold beer or cocktails then you are slowly allowing these ageing diseases to set in. The sheer fact that the drink is ice cold is the main problem, the sugar content is too, but not the immediate one. If you like to eat healthy, having a cup of warm water or warm tea along with fruit and veggies will help to balance out the temperature in the stomach. Ideally having food inside you that is around or above body temperature will allow your body to digest them to the best of it's ability.
